What if your city's hero was a jerk?  Johnny finds himself blessed with superpowers, in a city where the resident hero, the Ascender, can't be bothered.

When a chance encounter with a psychopath hurts his brother, and with the Ascender nowhere to be found, Johnny decides to take up the mantle of a hero.
